It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Sangji University website.

For many years, Sangji University has remained committed to nurturing people and making a positive contribution to society.
The strength our community has shown in coming together through difficult times, upholding our tradition of democratic governance, and rising again is a defining legacy of Sangji University and the firmest foundation for our journey toward next century.

Today, we are living through a profound period of transformation, marked by the rapid rise of AI, the restructuring of industries, the decline in the school-age population, and the loss of vitality in local communities.
Universities must now move beyond being places where knowledge is transmitted and evolve into "platforms for future innovation" that foster student growth, drive innovation in local communities, and connect with the world.

Sangji University will move forward with a clear vision: to become a leading university in the central region that shapes the future of our students, contributes to the growth of our communities, and connects the region with the world. To turn this vision into reality, we will focus on three core values.

At this pivotal moment of transition, I seek to clearly define the core values of Sangji University.

First, we will place "Student Success" at the heart of everything we do.

We will respect the potential of every student and help them develop the creativity, digital skills, and interdisciplinary thinking needed to thrive in the future.

Second, we will build a "Sustainable Ecosystem with Our Community."

We will work closely with local communities, industry, and public institutions in Korea, as well as with universities both in Korea and abroad, to help address regional challenges and create a virtuous cycle in which the growth of the community drives the growth of the University.

Third, we will build "A Trusted Community where we grow together through empathy and respect."

We will foster a healthy university culture where students, faculty and staff listen to, understand, respect, and communicate openly with one another.
The true strength of a university comes from its empathy for people and the power of its community.

As President, I will do everything in my power to support the growth of our university community and, beyond the University, serve as a bridge connecting government, local communities, industry, and the world, creating new opportunities for Sangji University to grow and thrive.

With the humble yet resolute spirit embodied in Simseong-guji(心誠求之)—the belief that sincere dedication can make our aspirations a reality—we will connect people and technology, the region and the world, and together with you, shape Sangji University’s next century.
